ROOTED IN
NATURE
Our story begins where the forest ends. We believe in the raw beauty of the elements and the grounding rituals that connect us back to the earth. Every piece in our collection is a testament to the North.
OUR JOURNEY
1996
The initial seeds of our philosophy were planted during this formative time, setting the stage for everything that followed. These were my Magic Bus years and when I started making and selling jewelry.
2012
Northern Elements was just a twinkle in her father's eye at this point. I had moved in with my Grandparents at their end of life stage as a caregiver. A few weeks in I threw out all the harsh chemical cleaning suoolies and figured out how to make my own from plant extracts. Then I got to work on making shampoo and conditioner. Everthing was a trial at that point. Grandma would watch me mixing concoctions and say" I really don't understand what you are doing (dimentia) but I know whatever it is, it's going to be wonderful
2014
I sold soap in Oberlin, Ohio while working on a sustainable agriculture degree. I created a community program I called re-soaple . I made soap using used cooking oil from the community. I used donations to buy the lye and distributed this free product for the "in need population" through the community services association. It was not a sustainable model because I spent all my time making free soap to give away. With some tweaking and better balance it could have been a great program.
2015
Under the moniker BeeKind, I spent a decade in Northern Ohio, cultivating an eco-friendly gardening business specializing in soil health alongside selling botanical body products and learning apothecary essentials.
2025
BeeKind moves from Northern Ohio to the North Country in New York. We are experiencing North Country mornings and embracing our Salmon River fishing community .
2026
Today, our mission remains grounded in nature, providing moments of slow living and elemental beauty for every home. Looking ahead, we are excited to expand our community and introduce new ways to experience the raw beauty of the North.
